Welcome to Vail

We highly suggest hiring a guide for this classic Colorado activity! You can either do a wade or float trip but we recommend a float trip so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while on the river (also, it’s easier). Check out these local Fly Fishing Outfitters to help plan your trip!

NOTE: You will need to get a Colorado Fishing License beforehand, but your outfitter/guide can help you with this.

If you love to golf, then you should definitely try golfing at 8,000 feet! Golf balls travel further at altitude and the mountain views are hard to beat. Check out either of the following public golf courses: Beaver Creek Golf Course, Vail Golf Course , and Eagle Vail Golf Course.​​​​​

Hanging Lake is one of Colorado’s most beautiful hikes, located about 45 minutes from Vail. The 3.4-mile trail is steep but rewarding, and a $12 permit is required during summer/fall months (Check this website to book your reservation).

Vail Valley also offers countless other hiking options. We recommend using the AllTrails app to explore trails and check difficulty levels.
