Welcome to Vail
Vail is a destination wedding for us too! Like most Colorado ski towns, Vail has shops, restaurants, and amazing access to outdoor activities. We’ve included some of our recommendations below. We hope you make the most of your weekend and enjoy the many wonderful activities Colorado has to offer!

Things to do in Vail
We're so thrilled to celebrate with you in one of our favorite places on earth. Vail is brimming with charm, from its delightful shops and restaurants to endless outdoor adventures waiting to be discovered.
Fly Fishing
We highly suggest hiring a guide for this classic Colorado activity! You can either do a wade or float trip but we recommend a float trip so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while on the river (also, it’s easier). Check out these local Fly Fishing Outfitters to help plan your trip!
NOTE: You will need to get a Colorado Fishing License beforehand, but your outfitter/guide can help you with this.
Golfing
If you love to golf, then you should definitely try golfing at 8,000 feet! Golf balls travel further at altitude and the mountain views are hard to beat. Check out either of the following public golf courses: Beaver Creek Golf Course, Vail Golf Course , and Eagle Vail Golf Course.
Hanging Lake & Hiking
Hanging Lake is one of Colorado’s most beautiful hikes, located about 45 minutes from Vail. The 3.4-mile trail is steep but rewarding, and a $12 permit is required during summer/fall months (Check this website to book your reservation).
Vail Valley also offers countless other hiking options. We recommend using the AllTrails app to explore trails and check difficulty levels.
Shopping & The Spa
Outdoors not your thing? No worries! Vail has amazing shopping throughout Vail Village, perfect for finding new outfits or souvenirs to bring home.
The RockResorts Spa at The Arrabelle is also a wonderful place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring or shopping in the sunshine.
Places to Eat in Vail
We’ve gathered some of our favorite recommendations below to help you fully enjoy the weekend. Don’t forget to make those lunch or dinner reservations early to snag a great spot!
